Announcing the launch of NeighborGab.com

Welcome to NeighborGab.com! This is the first official blog post by the staff at NeighborGab.com.

So what's NeighborGab.com all about?

As the founders of NeighborGab.com, we wanted to create a place online for residents to come together semi-anonymously to share information and goings on in their neighborhoods. From there, however, we also saw an opportunity to enhance the experience by inviting cutting edge real estate professionals and home service providers into this "community" because, after all, part of their business is to know their neighborhoods. In doing so, we believe we have created a recipe for a thriving interactive online community.

One of the greatest past times of neighbors is to interact and discuss current events with others in their community. Before the days of mass media, neighbors were more connected. There were more neighborhood gatherings, back yard barbecue's, etc. Now, with constant media stimulation, people have become more connected than ever....just not with their immediate neighbors or real estate and home service professionals.

Our goal is to build NeighborGab.com into the nations leading online community of gabbing neighbors!

We built NeighborGab.com on the Ning platform to capitilize on it's great features and easy to use interface. Some of those features are:

FREE BLOG - each member receives their own blog for posting announcements, questions, thoughts, writing articles, or whatever your heart desires.
POST VIDEOS - post as many videos as you want, its FREE!
GROUPS - create NeighborGab groups so that other members in your neighborhood can find each other. If you're the first to join in your neighborhood, start your group!
FORUMS - start and participate in forum discussions of whatever you want to talk about. Some popular ones are the local real estate market, the area schools, or whatever you want.
INVITE - its super easy to invite others and begin building your NeighborGab group!
