St Patrick's Day on St Croix

"Allawe" on the lovely island of St Croix are Irish for a day - and that day is the day of the St Patties day parade - which was last Saturday. Hundreds of locals, transplants, and tourists show up to drink and revel, watch or participate in the parade, and enjoy some wonderful live music. The festivities began around 9:00 a.m. - when throngs of us made our way to our favorite float to decorate it and ourselves.

St Croix New Year's Hike to Hamm's Point

The views from the northwest corner of our island are just spectacular. A small group of us hiked up there today and were greeted by a herd of goats! Then we explored the ruins of a rum factory - the grounds are so well maintained and beautiful. Gorgeous "Spirit Trees" grace the property, and the hibiscus, bouganvilla, snow flowers, and poinsettas were in full bloom. The first day of the new year was certainly full of beauty, comraderie, and gorgeous weather! Just another day

Club Comanche Reopens in Christiansted, St. Croix

Back in the '50's, there was a bar / restaurant in downtown Chrisitansted that was "THE" place to be, especially on New Year's Eve. SECURE INDEPENDENCE

Being human we are prone to a number of fantastic emotions, or thought patterns. There seem to be none more restricting then those triggered by "negative imagination". This is where the opposite side of humility and spirituality can prosper, to the point of owning us.

For instance when it comes to comparing our successes

TRY TO REMEMBER THIS ......

The only bad that can come from another's success is when we allow it to own us.

THE MARKET VS. PERCEPTION

If we are to buy-in to the perception of current market activity, compare that with something that used to be called "reality", there exists a basic math problem. In our little neck of the woods (here in coastal New Jersey), I currently have more qualified buyers then I have enjoyed all summer. Homes are going under contract in less then 30 days time. You see the problem here. If I were not involved, on a daily basis, in the reality of the marketplace I might just believe the perception. I know…

SELLER'S CLOSING COSTS IN FLORIDA

Good morning,

It's another beautiful morning in sunny Citrus County, FL.

What sellers can expect to pay when selling their home in Citrus County, FL is Title Insurance to give clear title to the buyer, Florida Documentary Stamps on the Deed, which is $ .70 per $100.00 and Real Estate commission if they hire a Real Estate Agent. Now the Title Insurance is not the law but it is going to be on most of the contracts and most of the time, the buyer is going to request that the se…

Arizona Real Estate

Yes as with everywhere else Real Estate has slowed down here. There are parts that are still doing well and New Builds are the way to go in the East Valley.

How Is The Real Estate Market?

Everyone ask the same question. How's the real estate market? My response, it's a great time to be a BUYER!. Prices are down. Way down from even a few months ago. One in 4 homes on the market in Prince William County is either a short sale, bank owned or foreclosure. Interest rates are still low w/expectation that they may go just a little lower. Buyers right now are in the drivers seat! To read my complete "Time To Buy" article go to our website…

CNN talks Real Estate

http://money.cnn.com/video/#/video/business/2007/07/23/gw.tips.mon.cnn

For Maryland, the transaction fees of buying a house could be between five and six percent. Makes a good point about what buyers are looking for...and starts with a funny commercial for the Royal Bank of Scotland!

Best Buy in St. George

If you are considering locating in St. George, the average home price is now well over $330,000! You can't find a home with the pride of ownership in an established neighborhood, fully landscaped, on a large lot, for any where near this price, unless you travel to the outlying communities. The home borders open space which the master plan has earmarked for a park. Only 10 minutes to the heart of St. George, the property is ideally located close to the pulse of the town but in a peaceful setti…

Real Estate Up-Date!

I know that everyone is getting concerned about what is happening in the Greater Albuquerque area as far as real estate is concerned. I want to let everyone know that from my perspective, as a real estate professional, is that the climate here is very healthy. We do currently have an above normal number of homes on the market but the good news is that we are not seeing a major dip in actual prices. Sellers are seeing their homes stay on the market for a longer period of tim

Living the Southwest Lifestyle in Albuquerque!!

We are having a great home market here in Albuquerque, in fact, one of the ten best residential markets in the country! Our growth has been phenomenal with commercial properties and businesses springing up all across the valley. Sony Pictures recently started work on the movie studios specializing in any special effect required for the bigscreen. Lionsgate Studios are working on their new movie studios and New Mexico is becoming a Mecca for the major motion picture industry! ("Wild Hogs" was…

Like city living? Consider these Urban Neighborhoods

In a recent article by Matt Woosley of Forbes.com, he highlights a handful of top "Urban Enclaves:

Park Slope, Brooklyn, N.Y.
A 15-minute subway ride into Brooklyn from downtown Manhattan, Park Slope is filled with tree-lined streets, high-end boutiques, galleries, restaurants and elegant homes, with absolutely no skyscrapers in sight. Most prime brownstones are in the $2 million to $5 million range. Just watch out for the strollers.
